Rubina is a designer’s designer. She is as comfortable white-boarding out UX challenges as she is designing identity systems. It was this ability to seamlessly switch between roles that made Rubina stand out from the crowd.

I interacted with Rubina in the Summer of 2011 while she was an intern with PUSH. From our initial interaction I was very impressed with Rubina’s professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to grasp conceptual business ideas.

Rubina and I worked together on a project assisting a client in developing a new-to-the-world offering in the professional services arena. Rubina was responsible for researching and evaluating the competitive landscape for the new service offering and demonstrated solid capabilities as a business analyst. She was able to understand, diagram, and communicate the business processes forming the underpinning of the business model.

After the value proposition and core offering were defined, Rubina also was integral in the development of the information architecture and design of the user interface for the website that would enable the new service offering. She took creative direction well and the resulting user experience is very strong, polished, and professional thanks to her involvement.

Rubina exhibits a rare combination of left brain/right brain skillsets; able to shift between conversations about business models and design elements seamlessly. On top of that, she has good client facing skills for someone so early in her career. She has a bright future ahead of her!
